Basketball Recap: Camp Verde Find Success

Camp Verde won the last time they faced Anthem Prep, and Jordan McMahon-Fullmer did his part to make sure it happened again. The Camp Verde Cowboys came out on top in a nail-biter against the Anthem Prep Eagles on Friday, sneaking past 47-44 thanks in part to McMahon-Fullmer, who dropped a double-double on 26 points and 15 boards. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in steals (seven).

Another player making a difference was Julian Perez, who posted four points along with 15 rebounds and three steals. He has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last five times he's played.

The victory got Camp Verde back to even at 10-10. As for Anthem Prep, they moved to 12-2 with that defeat, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Camp Verde has already played their next game, a 66-62 win against Glendale Prep Academy on the 20th. Anthem Prep has also already played their next matchup (against Scottsdale Preparatory Academy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
