Preview: Terry Sanford Bulldogs vs. Overhills Jaguars

The Terry Sanford Bulldogs will look to defend their home court on Friday against the Overhills Jaguars at 7:30 p.m. One thing working in Terry Sanford's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three contests.
Terry Sanford posted their biggest victory yet this season on Friday. They really took it to Western Harnett for the full four quarters, racking up a 65-33 win at home. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 42-13.
Among those leading the charge was Brady Shortridge, who went 6 for 10 from beyond the arc en route to 22 points and 0 assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Gaven Kraut, who scored 11 points along with two steals.
Meanwhile, Overhills' game on Tuesday was all tied up 19-19 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They fell 50-38 to Oak Ridge Military Academy. While losing is never fun, Overhills can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 340th, while Oak Ridge Military Academy is ranked 65th).
Terry Sanford's victory bumped their record up to 3-12. As for Overhills, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-8.
Terry Sanford might still be hurting after the 62-37 defeat they got from Overhills in their previous meeting back in December of 2023. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Overhills' Jordan Bryant, who scored 14 points along with eight rebounds and three blocks. Now that Terry Sanford knows the damage he can cause, will they be able to stop him this time? There's only one way to find out.
