Basketball Recap: Albany Takes a Loss

Albany lost against Cisco back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Albany Lions were dealt a 66-17 defeat at the hands of the Cisco Loboes. While losing is never fun, the Lions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1325th, while the Loboes are ranked 117th).

Albany's loss was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 4-15. As for Cisco, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 18-2.

A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Albany Lions challenge the Anson Tigers at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Cisco, they will take on Stamford at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Cisco's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last five games.
