Basketball Recap: Paityn Lawrence's Big Game Can't Quite Lead White Pine over Lincoln County

White Pine managed to slip by Lincoln County the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The White Pine Bobcats came up short against the Lincoln County Lynx on Tuesday, falling 52-32. The Bobcats' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Several Bobcats players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Paityn Lawrence, who posted 18 points and five steals. That's the most points Lawrence has posted since back in February of 2024. Brenley Skadburg was another key player, putting up seven points in addition to eight rebounds and three steals.

White Pine's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 13-7. As for Lincoln County, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-8 record this season.

White Pine didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 59-15 win against Lake Mead Christian Academy on the 31st. Lincoln County has also already played their next match, a 57-20 victory against GV Christian on the 31st.
