Basketball Game Preview: Havelock Rams vs. South Central Falcons

Havelock hasn't had much luck against South Central recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Havelock Rams will look to defend their home court against the South Central Falcons at 8:00 p.m. One thing working in Havelock's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last seven matchups.

Two weeks ago, Havelock earned a 66-57 victory over Northside - Jacksonville.

Meanwhile, South Central narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past J.H. Rose 65-62. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Falcons.

South Central is also on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-7 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.5 points per game. As for Havelock, their victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-4.

Havelock came up short against South Central in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, falling 56-47. Can Havelock avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
