Baseball Recap: Rural Retreat Takes a Loss

If Rural Retreat was feeling good fresh off their 10-0 takedown of Northwood last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Indians came up short against the Chilhowie Warriors on Tuesday, falling 16-4. The defeat continues a trend for the Indians in their meetings with the Warriors: they've now lost six in a row.

Rural Retreat saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brody Childers, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI and one double. Eli Poole was another, going 1-for-2 with one run and one RBI.

Rural Retreat's loss dropped their record down to 5-5-1. As for Chilhowie, their win bumped their record up to 8-3.
