Providence School was sadly handed a defeat on Tuesday, but Ryan Smith did his best to prevent it. Nobody could stop Smith as he struck out six batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits (and only one walk). He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances.

Coming up, Smith and Providence School will head out to face off against Episcopal School of Jacksonville at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
