It was a good run, but St. Charles East unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Monday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wheaton-Warrenville South Tigers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Fighting Saints of the 2-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

The final score came out to 25-18, 25-16.

Wheaton-Warrenville South found their leader in freshman Nathan Paige, who had eight digs and two aces.

St. Charles East's loss dropped their record down to 23-11. As for Wheaton-Warrenville South, their victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 26-7.

St. Charles East wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Bartlett on the 21st. As for Wheaton-Warrenville South, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Naperville North on the 21st.
