Softball Recap: Robert C. Byrd Eagles vs. Lincoln Cougars

Robert C. Byrd can now show off six landslide victories after their most recent match on Monday. They blew past the Lincoln Cougars 13-4. The win was just what Robert C. Byrd needed coming off of a 16-5 loss in their prior matchup.

McKenzie Davis made a splash no matter where she played. She tossed six innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off ten hits (she also didn't allow any walks). Davis has been consistent recently: she hasn't pitched less than five innings in four consecutive pitching appearances. Davis was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two RBI.

In other batting news, Gina Alvaro was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with a home run, four RBI, and two runs. Another player making a difference was Martina Howe, who went 2-for-3 with a home run, two runs, and two RBI.
