Baseball Recap: Dayton Comes Up Short

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Dayton's offense. They lost 16-0 to the Villa Madonna Vikings on Tuesday. The defeat continues a trend for the Greendevils in their meetings with the Vikings: they've now lost six in a row.

Dayton saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Anthony Massey, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases.

Dayton's loss dropped their record down to 3-19. As for Villa Madonna, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 16-12-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Dayton will face off against Holmes at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Villa Madonna, they will square off against Boone County at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
