Brookhaven came out on top against Bogue Chitto on Tuesday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run seventh inning. The Panthers sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 7-6 victory over the Bobcats. The win continues a trend for the Panthers in their matchups with the Bobcats: they've now won seven in a row.

Addisyn Tucker spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned (and two unearned) runs on eight hits.

At the plate, Jayonna Pendleton was excellent, going 1-for-4 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged two or more in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Journi Hunt, who went 3-for-4 with one double and one RBI.

The victory got Brookhaven back to even at 2-2. As for Bogue Chitto, they are on an 11-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Brookhaven will venture away from home to square off against Wesson at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Bogue Chitto, they are headed away from home for the first time to take on Enterprise at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
