Basketball Recap: Lynnwood Takes a Loss

Lynnwood lost against Meadowdale on January 8th and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Lynnwood Royals were outmatched by the Meadowdale Mavericks and fell 77-37. The Royals just can't catch a break and have now endured five losses in a row.

Despite the defeat, Lynnwood saw an underclassman step up: freshman Nina Wilson posted 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Lexi Tamayo, who put up eight points.

Lynnwood's loss dropped their record down to 2-16. As for Meadowdale, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 12-4.

Lynnwood will welcome Shorewood at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Meadowdale, they will venture away from home to challenge Archbishop Murphy at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday. Archbishop Murphy is on a six-game streak of home wins, Meadowdale a 12-game streak of away wins (dating back to last season)-- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court.
