It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Memorial had no problem doing just that on Friday. They breezed past the Wisdom Generals to the tune of 50-6. Winning may never get old, but the Mustangs sure are getting used to it with their ninth in a row.

Kade Gulledge was his usual excellent self, rushing for 144 yards and two scores on only nine carries. He is on a roll when it comes to rushing touchdowns, as he's now punched in two or more in each of the last eight games he's played. Myles Goebel was in the mix as well, providing Memorial with two TDs.

Memorial's run defense was locked in: Wisdom could only muster 0.9 yards per carry. The team can thank Daniel Bidros for the heroic effort on defense: he. Memorial didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 9.3.

Memorial's record is now 10-1. As for Wisdom, they now have a losing record of 5-6.

Looking ahead, Memorial will be playing at home against Katy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Mustangs will need to watch out since the Tigers have now posted at least 31 points in their last ten matchups. Wisdom does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
