Basketball Recap: Drue Anzai's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Garden Grove over Kennedy

Garden Grove lost against Kennedy back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Garden Grove Argonauts lost to the Kennedy Fighting Irish at home by a 71-53 margin. While losing is never fun, the Argonauts can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 713th, while the Fighting Irish are ranked 250th).

Several Argonauts players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Drue Anzai, who posted 16 points. Another player making a difference was Ethan Juarez, who put up eight points.

Garden Grove's defeat dropped their record down to 15-13. As for Kennedy, the victory (which was their 20th in a row) raised their record to 24-4.

As of now, neither Garden Grove nor Kennedy have any future games scheduled.
