Clopton extended their postseason success on Tuesday against Canton. They blew past the Canton Tigers 79-39. The Hawks have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 18  contests by 20  points or more this season.
 Clopton found their leader in sophomore  Charleigh Spoonster, who  shot 65% from the field on her way to 32 points and eight  assists. With that strong performance,  Spoonster is now averaging an impressive 15.3  points per game. Another player making a difference was  Ashlyn Noah, who  went 6-for-10  en route to 17 points and seven  boards.
The  victory (which was Clopton's seventh in a row) raised their record to 24-3. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 28.9 points on average over those games. As for Canton,  the  loss snapped their winning streak at eight games  and leaves them with a 18-11 record.
 Coming up, Clopton will take on Tipton on Saturday. Tipton will roll in looking for their  eighth straight  win, something Clopton surely won't give up without a fight. Canton does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
