Softball Recap: Tappan Zee Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Victory

Tappan Zee lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Nyack, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Tuesday's game. The Dutchmen never let the Red Hawks get on the board and left with a 13-0 win on Tuesday. The victory was nothing new for the Dutchmen as they're now sitting on four straight.

Tappan Zee pushed their record up to 4-1 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.6 runs on average this season. As for Nyack, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-3 record this season.

Nyack will take on Pearl River at 4:45 p.m. on Thursday. Tappan Zee will be paying especially close attention to the Red Hawks' contest: after the Red Hawks face off against Nanuet, they'll take on Tappan Zee again at 4:30 p.m. on May 7.
