Volleyball Recap: Amity Regional Takes a Loss + How To Watch

If Amity Regional was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Hand on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Spartans fell just short of the Guilford Grizzlies by a score of 3-2 on Friday. The Spartans were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Grizzlies earlier this season, when they won 3-1.

While Amity Regional ultimately came up short, they really made Guilford work, particularly in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 26-24, 25-21, 20-25, 22-25, 15-9.

Olive Hubbard paced Amity Regional's offense, picking up 17 kills. Hubbard got some help from Julia Capecelatro and her 46 assists.

Amity Regional's loss dropped their record down to 10-3. As for Guilford, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-4.

Amity Regional has already played their next matchup, a 3-1 win against Sacred Heart Academy on the 6th. Guilford has also already played their next contest (against Wilbur Cross), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
