Softball Recap: Quantico Takes a Loss

If Quantico was feeling good fresh off their 23-5 takedown of Foxcroft last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Quantico came up short against the Fairfax HomeSchool Hawks on Thursday, falling 24-4.

Quantico saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sydney Greene, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-2. Greene is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: she's snagged at least one every time she's taken the field this season. Stella Bartra was another, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in both of her plate appearances.

Quantico now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Fairfax HomeSchool, the win keeps they at an undefeated 4-0.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Quantico will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on The Carmel School at 4:00 p.m. on April 10. As for Fairfax HomeSchool, they will take on Seton at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
