Baseball Recap: Boyne Falls Comes Up Short

Boyne Falls was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They took an 11-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of the North Michigan Christian Academy Comets. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Comets this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 19-3 on Thursday.

Carter Babcock made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and got on base in all three of his plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs. Those runs were his first of the season.

Boyne Falls' defeat dropped their record down to 2-13. As for North Michigan Christian Academy, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-3.

Coming up, Boyne Falls will challenge Harbor Light Christian at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Swordsmen will roll in looking for their 16th straight win, something the Loggers surely won't give up without a fight. North Michigan Christian Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
