Softball Recap: Mayer Takes a Loss

Mayer was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the Ash Fork/Seligman Spartans, falling 26-19. The Wildcats were not able to make up for their defeat to the Spartans from their previous meeting back in March of 2024.

Mayer now has a losing record of 2-3.

Coming up, Mayer will be taking part in a tournament against Mohave Accelerated at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Mayer has given up an average of 16 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week. As for Ash Fork/Seligman, they are taking a road trip to take on Red Mesa at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The match will give Ash Fork/Seligman their first taste of in-conferenceaction this season.
