Recap: West Nottingham Rams vs. Providence Christian Academy Griffins

The West Nottingham Rams had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 12.5 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They secured a 67-62 W over Providence Christian Academy. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.

Despite the loss, Providence Christian Academy still got an impressive performance from Bryce Unruh, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and ten assists. Unruh is crushing the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Ethan Burrows, who scored nine points along with seven assists.

West Nottingham pushed their record up to 4-7 with that win, which was their third straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.3 points per game. As for Providence Christian Academy, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-11.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. West Nottingham will take on Tome at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Tome focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 18 on Friday. Providence Christian Academy is on the road again on Tuesday and plays Fellowship of Christian Athletes at 7:00 p.m. on February 13th. Fellowship of Christian Athletes has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
