Baseball Game Preview: Millbrook Wildcats vs. Wakefield Wolverines

For the second straight game, Millbrook will face off against Wakefield. The Wildcats will head out to square off against the Wolverines at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.

Millbrook fell victim to Wakefield and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They took a 5-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wolverines. The contest marked the first time this year in which the Wildcats were not able to get on the board.

For Wakefield's part, not much got past Tyler Rotellini, who gave up just two hits and racked up seven Ks to keep Millbrook off the board.

At the plate, Wakefield's win was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Mikey Katz, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double. That's the most RBI Katz has posted since back in March.

The victory (which was Wakefield's ninth in a row) raised their record to 15-2. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.9 runs over those games. As for Millbrook, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-5.
