Softball Recap: East River Falcons vs. Harmony Longhorns
East River was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 13-6 to the Harmony Longhorns. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Falcons of the 6-5 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2024.
Tru Mastro made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with one home run and one double. That home run marked the first that she launched this season.
East River's loss dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Harmony, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-4 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. East River will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Winter Park at 7:00 p.m. on March 25th. Harmony also won't see the field for a while: their next contest is against Lake Minneola at 7:00 p.m. on March 26th.
