Modoc won the last time they faced Weed and things went their way on Friday too. The Braves were the clear victors by a 19-6 margin over the Cougars. Considering the Braves have won seven matches by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Faith Marquez and Caelli DePaul were major factors while hitting and pitching. On the mound, Marquez pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Meanwhile, DePaul pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. The dominant performance also gave Marquez a new career-high in strikeouts (four).
