Basketball Recap: Iredell Takes a Loss

If Iredell was feeling good fresh off their 52-28 takedown of Three Way last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Iredell Dragons were outmatched by the Walnut Springs Hornets and fell 51-22. The Dragons were not able to make up for their loss to the Hornets from their previous meeting back in January.

Iredell's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Walnut Springs, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season.

Iredell will take on Oglesby in a holiday battle at at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Walnut Springs and Bluff Dale will compete for holiday cheer at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Walnut Springs is facing Bluff Dale at the right time seeing as Bluff Dale is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
