Basketball Recap: Canyon Comanches vs. Campbell Hall Vikings

It was a good run, but the Canyon Comanches unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Saturday. They took a 57-44 hit to the loss column at the hands of Campbell Hall.

Despite the defeat, Canyon saw an underclassman step up: Jordan Garcia scored ten points along with eight rebounds. It was the first time this season that Garcia pulled down eight or more rebounds. Another player making a difference was Zach Cutler, who scored six points.

Canyon's defeat dropped their record down to 20-6. As for Campbell Hall, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-14 record this season.

Canyon will be playing at home against the Vanguards at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. El Modena will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 683rd, while the Comanches are ranked 47th). As for Campbell Hall, they will head out on the road to square off against the Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Windward has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 1,136 points over their last 16 games.
