Volleyball Recap: Nine Straight Road Victories for Hanover Central

Hanover Central hadn't done well against Andrean recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Wildcats came out on top against the Fighting 59ers by a score of 3-1. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in August.

The final score came out to 25-14, 25-13, 24-26, 25-20.

Hanover Central was led to victory by Liliana Chorba and Riley Tormey. Chorba had ten digs and three aces, while Tormey had eight digs and three aces. Those three aces gave Tormey a new career-high.

They weren't the only good server: Hanover Central was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 15 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least 11 aces in three consecutive games.

Hanover Central pushed their record up to 17-4 with the victory, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Andrean, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-13.

Looking ahead, Hanover Central will face off against Highland at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Andrean, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-1 loss against Marian Catholic on the 24th.
