Volleyball Recap: Jeffersonville Red Devils vs. Columbus East Olympians
Jeffersonville lost against Columbus East back in August of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Red Devils came up short against the Olympians, falling 3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Red Devils have suffered since August 16th.
The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-11, 25-12.
Jenna Kelley paced Jeffersonville's offense, picking up 11 kills. Kelley got some help from Riley Dobson and her 17 assists.
Columbus East found their leader in sophomore Kenlee Gault, who had seven digs and five assists. Delaney Richards also deserves some recognition as she served her first ace of the season.
Jeffersonville now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Columbus East, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-6.
Looking ahead, Jeffersonville will look to defend their home court on Thursday against New Washington at 6:00 p.m. As for Columbus East, they will take on Silver Creek at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
