Soccer Recap: Marlboro County Comes Up Short

After flying high against Georgetown last Friday, Marlboro County came back down to earth. The Marlboro County Bulldogs fell 3-1 to the Aynor Blue Jackets on Tuesday.

Marlboro County now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Aynor, their win was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 3-3.

Looking ahead, Marlboro County is taking a road trip to take on Loris at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Loris will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Marlboro County surely won't give up without a fight. As for Aynor, they will square off against Georgetown at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Aynor will be up against Georgetown's rather soft defense (which has allowed 6.57 goals per match), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
