After a string of four wins, Roanoke Rapids's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They fell 5-2 to the Central Virginia Homeschool Athletic Association Patriots.

Roanoke Rapids saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lydia Carroll, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-1. Makenna Whitley was another, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI.

Roanoke Rapids' loss dropped their record down to 6-2. As for Central Virginia Homeschool Athletic Association, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-0.

Coming up, Roanoke Rapids is taking a road trip to square off against Bunn at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Central Virginia Homeschool Athletic Association, they will square off against Christchurch School at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
