West Bladen's game last Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-3 victory over the Fairmont Golden Tornadoes. The Knights haven't had any issues with the Golden Tornadoes recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive win against them.

Marlene Crabtree spent all nine innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and two unearned) runs on four hits.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Addison Wilcox, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-4. Natalee Sykes was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.

The victory got West Bladen back to even at 7-7. As for Fairmont, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-9 record this season.

West Bladen will have a chance to go back-to-back against Fairmont: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
