Baseball Recap: Ruidoso Comes Up Short

Ruidoso lost against East Mountain on Thursday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Warriors came up short against the Timberwolves, falling 23-3. The Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Justin Mendez was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 1-for-2.

Ruidoso's defeat dropped their record down to 5-9-1. As for East Mountain, the win was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-5.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Ruidoso is set to challenge their familiar foe Sandia Prep at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, East Mountain will take on rival New Mexico Military Institute at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
