Recap: Lower Lake vs. El Molino
The struggle was real when Lower Lake and El Molino clashed on Friday, but the former ultimately edged out the latter 29-27.
Lower Lake's offense came in ready to rumble, picking up 20 points in the first half. El Molino came up with 7 to make it 20-7 heading into the break. Lower Lake were outperformed in the second half 9-20 but had enough in reserve to walk away with the game.
Senior Elijah Hernandez, who accumulated 312 passing yards and punched in 2 rushing TDs, was a major factor in the success. Senior Darian James also helped out with an impressive 105 receiving yards in the win. The win got Lower Lake back to even at 1-1. The loss dropped El Molino's record to 1-2.
Lower Lake will be defending their home turf for the first time next week when they go up against Novato at 5:30 PM. El Molino are packing up and heading on the road for the first time this season. They face off against Petaluma next week at 7:00 PM.
