Basketball Recap: Zoey Morris' Big Game Can't Quite Lead Red Lake over Win-E-Mac

Red Lake was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 17th straight loss. They came up short against the Win-E-Mac Patriots, falling 57-34. The Warriors were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Patriots apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2020.

Red Lake's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Zoey Morris, who posted two points along with ten boards, five blocks, and three steals. Morris is on a roll when it comes to blocks, as she's now posted three or more in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Rhianna May, who earned ten points and eight rebounds.

Red Lake's defeat dropped their record down to 1-19. As for Win-E-Mac, their victory ended a 13-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-24.

Red Lake didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, an 88-24 loss against Pine River-Backus on the 21st. Win-E-Mac does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
