Basketball Game Preview: Clarksburg Coyotes vs. Northwest Jaguars

Clarksburg and Northwest are an even 5-5 against one another since March of 2019, but not for long. The Clarksburg Coyotes will be playing in front of their home fans against the Northwest Jaguars at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.

Clarksburg is headed into the game having just suffered their biggest defeat since February 9th last Friday. They might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting Damascus an easy 58-38 win. The contest marked the Coyotes' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Meanwhile, Northwest didn't have too much trouble with Linganore on Friday as they won 73-57.

Northwest had a senior duo take command as Landon Kelly went 8 of 12 on his way to 20 points and five steals and Alexander Greenfield dropped a double-double on 15 points and ten rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Kelly has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Henry Hecklinger, who posted ten points and six rebounds.

Northwest has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season. As for Clarksburg, their loss dropped their record down to 1-4.
