Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Emma Darley and Allie Moore Lead West Laurens to Victory

West Laurens won the last time they faced Peach County and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Raiders had just enough and edged out the Trojans 2-1.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day West Laurens got the one that really mattered. The final score came out to 25-12, 24-26, 15-11.

Leading West Laurens to victory were Allie Moore and Emma Darley. Moore had eight digs and two aces, while Darley had nine kills, five digs, five aces, and one block. That's the most digs Moore has posted over her last six contests. Olivia Moses also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

They weren't the only good server: West Laurens was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 22 aces. That's the most aces they've managed all season.

West Laurens has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight games. That's provided a massive bump to their 13-16 record this season. As for Peach County, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-20.

West Laurens has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Mary Persons on the 23rd. As for Peach County, they will challenge Lamar County at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
