Mid-Carolina has gone a perfect 6-0 against Fairfield Central recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Rebels will be playing in front of their home fans against the Griffins at 6:00 p.m. Mid-Carolina will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.
Fairfield Central's hitters are going to have their work cut out for them on Friday: Mid-Carolina hadn't allowed a single run the last three times they've hit the field. The Rebels didn't even let Columbia on the board on Friday, marking the Rebels' second-straight 17-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Rebels, who have now won ten contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Carter Vinson and Whitley Waites did most of the damage at the plate: Vinson went a perfect 1-for-1 with four RBI, two runs, and one stolen base, while Waites went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run and three RBI. Those four RBI gave Vinson a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Katie Gallman, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and one double.
Mid-Carolina always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .783. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .600 or higher in three consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for Fairfield Central's offense. They lost 15-0 to Clinton on Friday. The Griffins haven't had much luck with the Red Devils recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.
Mid-Carolina's win bumped their record up to 14-6. As for Fairfield Central, their loss dropped their record down to 4-7.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Friday as neither team is afraid to steal. Mid-Carolina has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 2.6 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Fairfield Central struggles in that department as they've been averaging 10.4 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Everything went Mid-Carolina's way against Fairfield Central in their previous matchup back in April of 2025, as Mid-Carolina made off with a 22-2 victory. Will the Rebels repeat their success, or do the Griffins have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
