Two dominant guards in D'Andre Moore and Jesiah Hines are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Draughn Wildcats will finish 2023 at home by hosting the North Cross Raiders at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the pair posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
Last Thursday, Draughn came up short against Freedom and fell 70-60.
Meanwhile, North Cross had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 13.5 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They blew past Westover Christian Academy, posting a 83-37 victory at home. That looming 83-37 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for North Cross yet this season.
North Cross' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Antonio Mack, who scored 30 points along with three steals. That makes it five consecutive games in which Mack has scored at least 25% of North Cross' points. Another player making a difference was Hines, who scored 19 points along with six assists and five steals.
Draughn's loss dropped their record down to 2-7. As for North Cross, the victory got them back to even at 3-3.
