The Chatsworth Chancellors will head out on the road to face off against the Birmingham Patriots at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Jazzlyn Melara was excellent, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI. Those three hits gave her a new career-high. Ana Blanco also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.

Chatsworth was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .379. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Cleveland only posted a batting average of .083.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Birmingham). They blew past Cleveland 13-3 last Friday. The team's explosion at the plate also rewarded the Patriots with their most commanding win of the season.

Annabella Venegas tossed a big game, tossing five innings while giving up three earned runs off three hits.

On the hitting side, Birmingham got a massive performance out of Melanie Mora, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs, four RBI, and two doubles. Bella Gonzalez was another key player, going 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, three runs, and one double.

Chatsworth's record is now 4-12. As for Birmingham, their record now sits at 4-6.
