Baseball Recap: Franklin Tornadoes vs. Portsmouth Christian Academy Eagles
Franklin extended their losing streak to three on Wednesday, dropping their season record down to 1-7 in the process. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 6-5 heartbreaker at the hands of the Portsmouth Christian Academy Eagles. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Tornadoes of the 19-2 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.
As for Portsmouth Christian Academy, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory they have posted since May 23, 2024.
For Portsmouth Christian Academy's part, Logan Summers made a big impact while hitting and pitching.
