Fenton had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the nine-run drubbing they dealt Eaton Rapids on Friday. The Tigers were the clear victors by  an  11-2 margin over the Greyhounds. Considering the Tigers have won 21 contests by more than five  runs this season, Friday's  blowout was nothing new.
 Fenton got a big performance out of  Marlee Topij, who  went 1-for-2 with three  RBI, one  run,  and one  double. Another player making a difference was  Ally Turkowski, who  got on base  in three of her four plate appearances with one  run, one  double,  and one  RBI.
Fenton has  been performing  well recently as they've  won ten of their last 12 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-5-1 record  this season. The  wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 11.7 runs over those games. As for Eaton Rapids,  with the  defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 23-7.
 Coincidentally, Fenton and Eaton Rapids will both be playing Mercy the next time they take the field. The Greyhounds will head out to face the Marlins at 7:30  p.m.  on Friday, while the Tigers will head out to face them  at 9:45  a.m.  on Saturday.
