Baseball Recap: South El Monte Eagles vs. Buena Park Coyotes        
        
		
            
 With a playoff game on the line, South El Monte rose to the challenge  on Tuesday. They narrowly escaped with a  win as the  squad sidled past the Buena Park Coyotes  2-1. The  victory was nothing new for South El Monte as they're now sitting on four straight.
 South El Monte saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Justin Sanchez, who  went 1-for-1 with two  RBI.
 On Buena Park's side,  Manuel Rivera put in work no matter where he played. On the mound, he  pitched two innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits. Rivera was also solid in the batter's box,  getting on base  in all four of his plate appearances with.
 South El Monte is  on a roll lately: they've  won 12 of their last 13 games,  which provided a nice bump to their 22-6 record  this season. As for Buena Park, their defeat dropped their record down to 24-7.
 South El Monte will square off against Oxford Academy at 3:15  p.m.  on Friday. South El Monte is looking to tack on another W to their 12-game streak on the road. Buena Park does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
