Goffstown and Bedford are an even 3-3 against one another since May of 2018, but likely not for long. The Grizzlies will head out to face off against the Bulldogs at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Goffstown's pitching crew has only allowed 3.5 runs per game this season, so Bedford's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

On Saturday, Goffstown came up short against Keene and fell 4-1.

Meanwhile, Bedford waltzed into their contest on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They were the clear victors by a 12-2 margin over the Tomahawks. Considering the Bulldogs have won six matches by more than six runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Bedford let Nate Duquette and James Gilbert run wild. Duquette went 2-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI, while Gilbert went 2-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double. Gilbert continues to improve, besting his previous run total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Carter Crowley, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Bedford always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .656. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Bedford pushed their record up to 14-6 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Goffstown, their defeat ended a seven-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 14-2.

Goffstown skirted past Bedford 4-2 in their previous matchup back in May of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Grizzlies since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
