Basketball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for St. Mary

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but St. Mary had no problem doing just that on Thursday. They managed a 34-29 win over the Northwestern Area Wildcats. The 34-point effort marked the Cardinals' lowest-scoring matchup of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

The victory (which was St. Mary's third in a row) raised their record to 17-6. As for Northwestern Area, the loss snapped their winning streak at six games and leaves them with a 18-6 record.

Looking ahead, St. Mary will challenge Harding County at 6:00 p.m. on March 13th. Harding County will roll in looking for their 21st straight win, something St. Mary surely won't give up without a fight. Northwestern Area does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
