Basketball Recap: Southwest Christian Academy Comes Up Short

Southwest Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 13th straight defeat dating back to last season. They were beaten by the Arkansas Christian Academy Knights 58-6. The Lions lost against the Knights in their previous head to head back in December of 2023, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 39-20 score last time.

Arkansas Christian Academy was led to victory by Gralynn Baker and Carla Best. Baker posted 22 points, while Best had 19 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaclyn Goddard, who put up seven points.

Southwest Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Arkansas Christian Academy, their win was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-0.

Southwest Christian Academy will venture away from home to face off against Abundant Life at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Arkansas Christian Academy, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against New Life Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
