Football Recap: Mattawan Comes Up Short on the Road Against Vicksburg + How To Watch

Mattawan kicked off their season on the road on Thursday and hit a couple of potholes. They were dealt a 41-14 defeat at the hands of the Vicksburg Bulldogs. The Wildcats were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bulldogs apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in August of 2024.

Mattawan and Vicksburg could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Michigan Rankings. The Wildcats will challenge Lowell at 7:00 p.m. on September 5 with a big rank disadvantage (144 vs. 49). Meanwhile, Vicksburg (ranked 234th) will meet Northview (ranked 108th) at 7:00 p.m. on September 5.
