Basketball Recap: Washington-Liberty Takes a Loss

Washington-Liberty was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. The contest between them and the McLean Highlanders didn't end well, with the Washington-Liberty Generals falling 62-48. If the Generals were looking for revenge after losing 61-38 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.

It was another big night for Max Mullen, who went 6 for 9 en route to 18 points and eight boards for McLean. The team also got some help courtesy of Rece Bowser, who went 5 of 9 on his way to 11 points and six rebounds.

Washington-Liberty's defeat dropped their record down to 4-10. As for McLean, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 7-6 record this season.

Washington-Liberty has already played their next game (against Langley), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. McLean didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 63-60 victory against Herndon on the 14th.
