Soccer Recap: Jones Takes a Loss

If Jones was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Evans last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Jones Fightin' Tigers took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lake Buena Vista Vipers on Thursday. The matchup was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but the Fightin' Tigers couldn't quite close it out.

Jones now has a losing record at 5-6. As for Lake Buena Vista, their win bumped their record up to 3-9-1.

After both having extra time off, Jones and Forest Lake Academy will shake off the cobwebs and square off against one another at 6:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025. Forest Lake Academy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.5 goals per game this season. As for Lake Buena Vista, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Orangewood Christian at 6:45 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
