Basketball Recap: Fillmore Takes a Loss

Fillmore was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were beaten by the Newbury Park Panthers 73-38.

Fillmore's loss dropped their record down to 7-10. As for Newbury Park, their win bumped their record up to 7-5.

Fillmore and Newbury Park could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps California Rankings. Fillmore (ranked 971st) will meet Moorpark (ranked 312th) at 3:00 p.m. on December 30th. Meanwhile, Newbury Park will face off against Mission College Prep at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday down 546 places (656 vs. 110).
