Softball Recap: Saturday's Victory Is Northview's Seventh in Last Eight Outings

Northview lost to Thomasville back in March of 2023, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Saturday. Northview came out on top against Thomasville by a score of 8-3.

Mikayla McAnally spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and two unearned) runs on seven hits and racked up 13 Ks. Those 13 strikeouts gave her a new career-high.

At the plate, Daviona Randolph was incredible, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. Bailey Burkette was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.

Northview is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.6 runs over those games. Thomasville's loss dropped their record down to 11-5.

Northview didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 7-4 defeat against Elberta on the 22nd. Thomasville has also already played their next contest (against Southside), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
